never drinks its own water.
Its journey finds fulfillment
only when distant fields
burst into green life
through its flowing stream.

Therefore,
let your days
be open windows,
through which
hope
may quietly enter
another life.

Let there be in your words
the patience that heals wounds;
let there be in your steps
the courage that leaves no one lonely.

Bestow
that wealth
which knows no measure—
earnest attention,
human dignity,
and
the rare warmth
of truly standing
by someone’s side.

The strongest foundations
are built unseen,
where
there is no pageantry,
no monument;
yet it is this very foundation
that holds society together.

A single genuine act of kindness
outlasts a thousand victories.
It passes silently
from one heart
to another,
like light—
a constellation
guiding a weary traveler
through the deepest darkness.

Do not ask
whether history
will remember your name.
Instead, ask yourself—
has your compassion
ever
awakened the hope
of a new dawn
in someone’s life?

When
all titles fade,
and the echoes of glory fall silent,
what remains
will be neither wealth
nor fame—
but the tenderness,
the affection,
and the quiet legacy
left by your presence
in human hearts,
making life

That is
the true benchmark
of the coming dawn.

“আগামী প্রভাতের মানদণ্ড”
___ মুশ্বার্রফ হুসেইন

আমরা এই পৃথিবীতে আসি
খালি হাতে;
কিন্তু প্রতিটি মুহূর্ত
নীরবে আমাদের হাতে তুলে দেয়
একটি অদৃশ্য সুযোগ—
কারও জীবনের
ভার সামান্য লাঘব করার।

পৃথিবী
ধন-সম্পদের অহংকার
বা করতালির ধ্বনি
তার স্মৃতিতে ধরে রাখে না;
সে মনে রাখে
সেই নীরব মুহূর্তগুলো,
যখন একজন মানুষ
নিঃশব্দে
আরেকজনের পথ
সহজ করে দেয়।

নদী
নিজের জল নিজে পান করে না।
তার যাত্রা পূর্ণতা পায়
যখন দূরের শস্যক্ষেত
তার প্রবাহে
সবুজ জীবনের স্পর্শে সজীব হয়ে ওঠে।

তাই
তোমার দিনগুলো
হোক উন্মুক্ত জানালা,
যার মধ্য দিয়ে
আশা
নীরবে প্রবেশ করতে পারে
কোনো অচেনা জীবনে।

তোমার কথায় থাকুক
ক্ষত সারিয়ে তোলার ধৈর্য;
তোমার পদক্ষেপে থাকুক
কাউকে একা না ফেলে যাওয়ার সাহস।

দান করো
সেই সম্পদ,
যার কোনো পরিমাপ নেই—
আন্তরিক মনোযোগ,
মানবিক মর্যাদা,
এবং
কারও পাশে
সত্যিকার অর্থে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকার
দুর্লভ উষ্ণতা।

সবচেয়ে দৃঢ় ভিত্তি
গড়ে ওঠে চোখের আড়ালে,
যেখানে
কোনো জাঁকজমক নেই,
কোনো স্মৃতিস্তম্ভ নেই;
তবু
সেই ভিত্তিই
সমাজকে ধারণ করে রাখে।

একটি অকৃত্রিম সুকর্ম
সহস্র বিজয়ের চেয়েও
অনেক দীর্ঘকাল বেঁচে থাকে।
তা নীরবে
একটি হৃদয় থেকে
আরেকটি হৃদয়ে
আলোর মতো প্রবাহিত হয়—
যেন
দীর্ঘ অন্ধকারে
পথের সন্ধানে থাকা
এক ক্লান্ত পথিকের জন্য
আকাশভরা নক্ষত্রমালা।

ইতিহাস
তোমার নাম মনে রাখবে কি না—
সে প্রশ্ন কোরো না।
বরং নিজেকে জিজ্ঞাসা করো—
তোমার মমতা
কখনও কি
কারও জীবনে
একটি নতুন প্রভাতের
আশা জাগিয়ে তুলেছে?

যখন
সমস্ত উপাধি ম্লান হয়ে যাবে,
সমস্ত কীর্তির প্রতিধ্বনি স্তব্ধ হবে,
তখন
অবশিষ্ট থাকবে
ধন নয়,
খ্যাতিও নয়—
মানুষের হৃদয়ে
তোমার উপস্থিতি রেখে যাওয়া
স্নিগ্ধতা,
মমতা,
এবং
জীবনকে আরও
মানবিক করে তোলার
এক নীরব উত্তরাধিকার।

সেটিই
আগামী প্রভাতের
প্রকৃত মানদণ্ড।
